There are a lot of trends going on right now. One of them is you already know from my post title which is Korean Eyelash Extension. So what is this eyelash extension thingy and why it is so popular? In fact, eyelash extension is not a new thing actually. Many Korean celebrities did it to give a push to their eyes so it appears bigger, sparkling, and innocent. The most important thing is you won't need to deal with fake eyelashes anymore. Without any make up on too, you will now have beautiful eyes every time you sleep and wake up. It's so convenient right?

Korean-style Eyelash Extension is more natural looking lashes, so it suits for everyday look. There is other types of extension too such as more dramatic and glamorous lashes. It depends on people's taste really. Personally, I prefer Korean Natural Eyelash Extension.

I am not planning to do this honestly (never thought of it). My friend Jennifer is the one who introduce and persuade me to do it together. The main reason is if you do it with your friend (2 people at least) is cheaper (we love cheaper thing okay haha). So basically, I found this place via Instagram. It's having March promotion. First of all, I booked two weeks ahead for the treatment and also need to pay for deposit money which is only IDR 50.000. The beautician, Ci Intan, is very friendly and kind. During the process, I feel assured and no worry at all. Her work is neat too and she assured it won't harm your natural lashes. The lashes she used is mink lashes, not silk or synthetic. For you who don't know, Mink Lashes are the most natural looking eyelash extensions because they are lightweight, soft and natural.

Back to my story, the whole process takes more or less 1.5 hours and we only need to lay down during the process. You could take a nap if you can. But the thing with this treatment is it's kinda stingy to my eyes. I have a bit burning sensation to my under eyes where the lashes are. The beautician said it is because of the glue vapour. I am wearing contact lenses that time though so the unpleasant feeling to my eyes are less if compared to what it did to my friend Jennifer. Her eyes become red and teary. But after a while the eyes are back to normal of course. Well, no pain no gain right.

What I Love from Korean Eyelash Extension

- It makes my eyes bigger even without contact lenses
- It saves my make up time a lot since I don't need to use eyeliner and mascara
- It makes my eyes pretty obviously
- It can last till 2-4 weeks

What I Don't Like from Korean Eyelash Extension

- After the treatment, on the first day, I feel heavy on my eyes since I am not used to have long and many lashes. But the next day, I am kinda used to it already.
- Need to be extra careful not to ruin the extension meaning no rubbing your eyes, no oil-based makeup remover, no usual way to wash your face (not to touch the lashes), and no sleeping on stomach anymore.
- After times, it gets build up of dust and dirts on the lashes which I do not know how to clean it without the risk of losing the lashes.

Do I Want to Retouch?

Definitely not now. I am letting my lash extensions fall naturally. Then I don't wanna retouch it just yet since I will go having my summer holiday which may incorporate a lot of sea water and sand. So will reconsider to redo after my vacation. Maybe I am gonna try different treatment next time.
